SUMMARY: Witness to a murder perpetrated by a Godfather, Thomas Shanard is forced to leave New York to return to Cayeux-Sur-Mer, his hometown. He is followed by two men: a police officer who is responsible for taking him back to the United States to testify, and a hitman hired by the mafia to take him down. The return of the “prodigal son” also revives conflicts in the local bourgeoisie. For Thomas, trouble is far from over…
