The passengers of an old freighter en route to South America find that their voyage is truly damned! The nightmare begins when Captain Lansen (Eric Porter) attempts to transport illegal explosives and their rusty tramp steamer becomes stranded in the vast floating swamp of the mysterious Sargasso Sea. Under the cover of night, the terrified travelers encounter unspeakable monsters, man-eating seaweed, vicious mutant pirates and stupendously endowed women.

FROM THE LABELÂ
It’s been 10 years (TEN!!) since we announced we were bringing Hammer into the HD age. One of the 3 announced titles was BEASTS LURK AT CARACAS. And shortly thereafter we had to withdraw the announcement for this title, because the HD master that was delivered did not consist of the integral version, but was based on the greatly abridged US version.
So it was almost irrelevant that we only had one synchro to match the US version up to that point.
After years of searching, this year we finally found an archive that had an old German copy of the film. And our expectations were even exceeded. Not only did the copy have the complete dubbing that had long been considered a myth, no, the copy even ran 2 minutes LONGER (!!) than the previously considered integral version (which we also used on our DVD release).
THIS IS A REGION B DISC. PLEASE SEE THE FAQ IF YOU ARE UNSURE IF YOU CAN PLAY IT
