| THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS - Without a doubt, more so than very few other films, this 1976 hardcore sex film fuses scenes of graphic sex with scenes of highly disturbing horror. Catherine Burgess plays Catherine Burgess, a woman drawn to an antique mirror that shows her a man (the wicked Jamie Gillis) who looks like her father and proceeds to seduce her and try to lure her into the surreal world he inhabits behind the mirror. Meanwhile, her daughter watches as he mother sits naked and brushing her hair before the mirror as she is drawn further into a world of revolting people and demons performing acts that will turn the stomaches of most viewers. The world director James Middleton creates has been liked to a painting by the great Hieronymus Bosch, and after seeing the visions he puts on display we'd be hard pressed to argue. Laura Nicholson, Maria Taylor, Kim Pope,Ultra Max, Bobby Astyrn, Nancy Dare and Terri Hall star.
