Unlike most of his other films sans the re-titled and cutPERDITA DURANGO, DAY OF THE BEAST got a U.S. video release. Predictably,it was dubbed and cropped and never made it to DVD. Fortunately, thisuncut, subtitled and letterboxed special edition has just been released inSpain. For those who haven't seen it, this tale of a priest compelled tocommit multiple acts of sin while he races against time to stop the birthof the Anti-Christ on X-mas perfectly blends horror and black comedyelements for a fast-paced romp.
