The Day The World Ended is Roger Corman at his B-movie best. Maddison
(Paul Birch), a rancher and his grown daughter Louise (Lori Nelson) are holed up
in their house after a nuclear holocaust has decimated most of the world's
population, their home having been protected from the radioactive fallout by the
surrounding mountains. Five survivors including a geologist, a crook and his
girlfriend find their house and descend upon the rancher and his daughter.
Conflicts of a romantic nature erupt among Louise and her two erstwhile suitors,
gun-wielding Tony (Mike Connors) and geologist Rick (Richard Dennings), but
these are shunted aside when they are terrorised by a radioactive mutant
creature!
