Alligator A baby alligator is flushed down the toilet and ends up
living in the vast network of sewers beneath Chicago. Surviving on a diet of
chemically infected carcasses, Ramon mutates and grows to gargantuan
proportions. He soon develops a taste for humans and begins to wreak havoc above
and below ground, leaving an assortment of mutilated limbs in his wake. After
dining on one of the city's police detectives, Ramon finds the cop's tough
partner, David Madison (Robert Forster), and reptile specialist Marisa Kendall
(Robin Riker) hot on his tail! A darkly comic spoof of the classic drive-in
monster flicks of the 50s, Alligator combines black humour and gory
special effects with a subtle ecological subtext.
Alligator 2: The Mutation Cop David Hodges (Joseph Bologna) and
alligator hunter Hawkins (Richard Lynch) tracking down a giant toxic alligator
which is terrorising a small lakeside town. Enlivened by a diverse cast,
including Dee Wallace-Stone, Steve Railsback, Bill Daily, Joseph Bologna, and
Richard Lynch Alligator 2: The Mutation is a worthy sequel to one of the
best-loved killer animal films ever made.
