In the days before home video and camcorders, 8mm and 16mm were the only way to go. It wasn't long before imaginative kids were borrowing dad's camera to shoot their own monster epics. The monster kids of the era, largely inspired by Famous Monsters and Shock Theatre began making their own little horror and sci-fi epics in their backyards, basements and vacant lots.
