The extensive liner notes included within have been written by Forced Entry's author and director, Shaun Costello. Costello is one of the most prolific and under-documented filmmakers to emerge from the New York porn scene, and his written comments on the production of his film offer us a rare "behind-the-scenes" glimpse into the making of one of adult cinema's more unique and pioneering features. Given the difficulty of coming by any hard information about the Seventies triple-X film world, Costello's commentary and vivid recollection expand our knowledge of porn history in general and of his own noteworthy career in particular.
synopsis: Recently released from duty, a deranged Vietnam vet (porn superstar Harry Reems/Deep Throat) brings the carnage home with him and declares war on New York City's female population. The no-name loner finds work at a one-pump gas station, where he is able to obtain information on customers that pay by credit card. Armed with his intended victims' addresses, along with his trusty gun and knife and the sounds of a distant jungle battle screaming in his brain, the homicidal maniac forces his way into the homes of innocent young women…to act out his most violent psychosexual impulses.
