BURIED ALIVE (aka BEYOND THE DARKNESS or BUIO OMEGA) - Aristide Massaccesi
was known the world over as Joe D'Amato when he still drew breath with the
rest of us. Before he directed a successful series of 'historical' porno
films that featured large-breasted European women having sex with ripped
men with shaved pubes, Joe directed a few gore films amongst his popular
'Black Emanuelle' series and some other crap. This 1979 film is probably
one of his best known and loved film since it revolves around subjects very
close to most horror fans' hearts: necrophilia and incest. A deranged
taxidermist goes about committing nefarious deeds, the best of which is the
preservation of his dead sister who he dearly loved (and made the sex
with). This print is uncut, so no scintillating detail is spared.
