KnightRiders (Arrow UK DVD / Blu-Ray Combo Region 2/B)
Made after the zombie classic Dawn of the Dead, George A. Romero’s Knightriders is both clearly the work of the same director (there are lots of familiar faces from his other films) and a marked change of tone. There’s still plenty of action, but it takes the form of jousting by people wearing full medieval armour while riding motorbikes.

Knightriders (Shout Factory) (Blu-Ray)
The members of a traveling Renaissance Faire, who saddle up on motorcycles instead of horses, ride from town to town to stage medieval jousting tournaments with combatants in suits of armor and wielding lances, battle-axes, maces and broadswords

Knightriders DVD (George Romero) (NTSC Region 1)
This is a finely crafted film written and directed by George A. Romero, who brought us Night Of The Living Dead and Creepshow, and continues in his tradition of visual mastery here with Knightriders. Newsweek said of Romero’s talents, "Romero’s combination of wit and horror is the best since Hitchcock."

L'age D'or (NTSC Region 1)

La Commune DVD (Peter Watkins 3 Disc Set) (NTSC Region 1)
Peter Watkins stands as one of the finest -- yet least appreciated -- directors of the 20th Century. Through THE WARGAME, CULLODEN, PRIVILEGE, PUNISHMENT PARK and EDVARD MUNCH (among several others) he has expressed rage at a world set upon its own destruction and gorged on hypocrisy. LA COMMUNE (PARIS, 1871) is his most recent and ambitious work and serves as a culmination of all of his ideas in one long (345 minutes) and absorbing drama

La Grande Bouffe DVD (PAL Region 2)
Considered by some to be one of the most disgusting and decadent films in arthouse cinema history and by others as a brilliantly orchestrated cinematic critique of the bourgeoisie, La Grande Bouffe is undoubtedly a classic of modern cinema and stands as director Marco Ferreri's career masterpiece and his greatest international success.

La Note Bleue (The Blue Note) (Zulawski MondoVision Digipak Blu-Ray)
Andrzej Zulawski's La Note Bleue (The Blue Note) can be called an event. This is probably the first time that a director has, in all humility, treated the life of a composer – Chopin in this instance – without sacrificing any of his ambitions as a filmmaker. In others words, not for a single moment does he attempt to appropriate or put to his own use the music he is filming. He directs it, and perhaps illustrates it, but in no way reduces it.
