Burl's (9 min.) Burl's is based on a short story by the brilliant gay writer Bernard Cooper. When a young boy encounters three drag queens outside Burl's Diner in L.A. he decides that perhaps its time he checked out Mom's closet... Touched (25 min.) Philadelphia's gay nightlife provides the set for this tender tale between two men looking for something else besides what is culturally provided. The story of what transpires when Mike, a sex-starved, middle-aged gay man, gives the bars one last try. Touched is a quiet, spiritual tale of connection as two lives are changed forever. Winner Audience Award, Best Short Film, Philadelphia International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival 10 Pesos (6 min.) A strikingly visual Argentianian film that shows just where a 10 peso note has gone. Safe Journey (15 min.) The Kid has no money, no place to live and nowhere to go. He's done more than he cares to admit just to survive on the streets.The Man has lost the one he loved. He is losing his eyesight. He's selling all his possessions so nothing will be left to lose. Both are trapped, each alone until Fate brings them together one windy autumn night. "Safe Journey" is such a powerful short film, we yearn to see a feature and learn more about these two characters. Shaving the Castro (4 min.) Louie's Barber Shop opened in 1947, in a working class, mostly Italian Neighborhood in San Francisco called the Castro. The neighborhood has changed but Louie's is still there. Gaydar (20 min.) These fine folks have discovered a high tech device that figures it out for us. The workplace will never be the same again! Winner, Best Short Comedy, Cinequest San Jose Film Festival Masturbation: Putting the Fun In Self-Loving (8 min) If only the educational films of the '50s were this informative. Dr. Sigmund Winston, along with the help of his trusty sidekick Billy, teaches the students of the 1950s how to put more excitement into self-loving.
