VISITOR Q - >From Takashki Miike, director of such audacious and
well-regarded cult hits as AUDITION, FUDOH, DEAD OR ALIVE and CITY OF LOST
SOULS, comes another bad taste black comedy. This time out Miike comes at
us with an all-out attack on social mores and the 'sacred' bond that is
family. The viewer is presented with visceral and graphic (not to mention
gleeful) depictions of incest, necrophilia, parental abuse, humiliation and
rape. While not for everyone, this was a highlight of the 20001 FantAsia
Film Festival for many (the Diabolik DVD crew included) and stands among
the bravest works that Miike has yet produced.
