The film is set in a ramshackle tenement building filled with freaks and rejects of all sorts, from the plus-sized transvestites who run a beauty parlour to the local wannabe hip-hop crew. Everyone seems to look out for one another with the exception of Mrs. See, the greedy landlady who runs numerous scams to keep control of her building. In apartment 609 lives Buppah Rahtree (Chermarn Boonyasak), a shy, attractive university student who is short on rent. But that is the least of her problems: she is pregnant after being seduced by a rich frat boy whose parents - wishing to hide this shameful mistake - arrange to have the pregnancy terminated. Penniless and alone, Buppah dies from medical complications in her cramped apartment, only to return as a vengeful ghost with no intention of vacating the premises. Mrs. See's empire crumbles as the ghost screams throughout the night and blood pours down the hallways. The landlady calls upon a number of tricksters, shamans and priests to help rid her of Buppah's horrific spectre before all of her tenants move out in fear. 'Rahtree: Flower of the Night' is a vulgar, earthy feature that leaps between several extremes: tragic young love, politically incorrect absurdity and outright bloody horror
