Four years since the ground-breaking horror film 'Ring,' comes anew terror from director Hideo Nakata. Yoshimi Matsubara (Hitomi Kuroki) isabout to reach a divorce agreement with her husband concerning the custody oftheir daughter Ikuko. In order to start a brand new life with her daughter, shemoves into a spacious apartment which looked nice enough at first visitings.However, right after they moved in, weird and creepy things start happening. Theceiling starts leaking whenever it rains, and strange footsteps are heard fromsomewhere above, and worst of all, her daughter starts acting very strange.Soon, she finds out about the disappearance of a young girl who used to live afloor above her place, and even more unexpected things happen...
