A young American of German heritage goes to work as a sleeping car conductor
with his uncle in post-war Germany circa 1945. Although he wishes to
remain neutral, he soon is involved with the wealthy train owner's
daughter which causes him to make some difficult decisions. Easily Lars
Von Trier`s most accessible film and possibly his most entertaining as well.
