Fast cars, fast women, devil worship—a wild generation out of controlIn this current-day variation on “Mad Max”, Psycho Joe, a petrol-head from Altona, Melbourne, secures employment at a local supermarket. Here, he meets the over-sexed Dazey. Joe and Dazey form a friendship based on their mutual love for hot cars. Joe also falls in love with Savina, a fellow worker who worships Satan. The nihilism of these young characters climaxes in a tragic showdown and a violent car race that rivals similar scenes in “Bullitt” and “The French Connection”.
